Tikka

A Tikka (or maang tikka) is an Indian forehead ornament which can be flat (traditional tikka) or 3-dimensional as in a borla tikka. Traditionally this hair jewellery was worn down a central hair parting. However, in more modern times, tikkas have also been worn along a side hair parting - not to be confused with a Pakistani Jhumar which is much larger and worn on the side of the head so as to cover one temple. Tikkas can be worn as an accessory in isolation or accompany earrings or a full necklace set. They can be worn to any occasion and we stock a variety of sizes & colours to suit your look. Our new collection of tikkas is launching over the course of the wedding season so do watch this space!
