Matha Patti

A matha patti is traditional Indian head jewellery. It is a hair ornament with 1 central chain (tikka) and 1 or more chains that flow along the hairline, to form one jewellery piece. A matha patti is normally worn along the hairline or can be worn Arabian style, off the face. This year, matha pattis continue to be worn by brides and guests - where guests are wearing matha pattis with minimal other jewellery e.g. earrings or small studs only & no necklace. Also, the full Arabian matha patti is very much in Vogue for a modern look at wedding functions - this is where the matha patti has no central chain.
